A sunny and crisp morning will slowly give way to increasing clouds from the west. Temperatures today are expected to be similar to yesterday...but slightly warmer further south. A light breeze off of the lake will keep the immediate Illinois lake shore cooler and still slightly below normal. A cold front will arrive overnight tonight bringing rainfall and a few isolated thunderstorms. In the wake of the front...northwest winds will usher in a slightly cooler and drier airmass...before winds turn southerly on Sunday...bringing the return to warmer and near normal temperatures.
